MALAKIET NATURE and ADVENTURE CAMP:
NATURE & ADVENTURE: - You will enjoy the tranquillity of nature and wildlife, the thrill of White Water Rafting, participate in adventure activities, develop leadership skills, sleep on islands, participate in tours and enjoy team & fun activities. - Facilitating: Our facilitators will run and organize your tailor-made program on a professional way throughout your coarse. - Although most of your experiences will be outdoors, in nature and on the water, the theoretical lectures will be conducted a fully equip conference hall. - Our dining hall and catering is of a high standard, and you will be treated on delicious meals. During some evenings the students will prepare dinner in teams in our Vintage Boma around a camp-fire. - During fee time you can enjoy nature, paddle on the river, go hiking, do fishing and study. - You are welcome to enjoy the swimming pool and make use of the kiosk on site. - You will enjoy many camp-fire evenings where you can listen to the sounds of night and appreciate the stars and galaxies above. - You will be provided with with good accommodation and ablution facilities. OUTCOME: - We make use of theoretical sessions, but you will be participating in practical training sessions, experience and work in nature and between wildlife. - You will have enough time to study and you will be evaluated after each module. - You will be able to develop a positive attitude, leadership and personal skills and be part of the group dynamics.

BASE CAMP: On the banks of the Vaal river in the heart of the Vredefort Dome where you will find Dimalachite River Lodge that will be your base where you will hosted during your coarse. The theoretical aspects as well as some of the nature and wildlife training will be done on site where you will interact with nature and wildlife on the farm. As part of your training you will visit Nature Conservation sites, game farms and wildlife sanctuaries in the area. You will participate in a hiking experience in the Vredefort Dome mountains and take part in a exploration tour of the Dome. You will experience the thrill of sleeping out under the stars in nature. TOUR TO KRUGER PARK: During the coarse you will participate in a tour to the Low-veld where you will spend a few nights at the base camp at Bushbaby Lodge situated in a Wildlife Sanctuary alongside the Crocodile river bordering the Kruger National Park. During this visit you will get first-hand experience of different types of game in the park as well as some of the big five, hippos, crocodiles and many bird species while driving or hiking alongside the fence between the conservancy and the Kruger Park. During camp-fire evenings you will experience nigh-life in the African bush and might hear the lions roar and hippos grumping in the riverbed. You will participate in a few game-drives into the Kruger Park during your stay at Bushbaby Lodge where you will came into contact with the Big 5 as well as all the other animals that makes the Kruger Park world famous. OPTIONAL: TOUR TO CAPE VIDAL: Cape Vidal is situated in the world famous iSimangaliso Wetland Park bordering the Indian ocean. You will be camping for a few nights under the big trees in the park, go on game-drives, do some fishing, swim in the hot Mozambique current while enjoying nature at it’s best. You will participate in a boat cruise on the river at St Lucia where you will have a once in a lifetime experience in one of the world’s most popular wetlands.

TOURS: INCLUDED: - As part of the camp you will visit a few game farms and wildlife sanctuaries in the Vredefort Dome. - You will also go on a tour of the Vredefort Dome and learn about the impact of a meteorite a few million years ago on this area. - You will enjoy a half day, full day as well as an overnight rafting trip on the Vaal river. - You will do a few fishing trips on the Vaal river. - After completion of the basic camp you will visit the world famous Kruger Park. Our base camp will be Bushbaby Lodge that is situated alongside the Crocodile river and bordering the Kruger Park. From there we will conduct a few day trips into Kruger Park OPTIONAL: 1. You may want to join the group on a 6 day (4 days on the water) adventures rafting trip on the Orange river. You will be sleeping on islands and prepare your meals on the way. 2. You may join the group on a 6 day camping trip to Cape Vidal where you will stay in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. There you will do game drives in the Park, do sea fishing, swim in the hot Mozambique current.

STUDENTS: - Age: 16 to 25 year - Must have metric - Male or female - Nature lover - Adventures - No criminal record - Be able to work in a group - Positive attitude WHAT IS THE AIM OF THIS CAMPS: We are presenting this camps to people that: - Are Nature lovers - That are adventures - That want to equip themselves with knowledge about the subjects mentioned in the two modules above. - Matriculates that want to equip themselves with knowledge and in the same time experience wildlife and adventure before going to a university or collage. - Students will receive non official certificates from us after completing the modules and camps. - Students that want to may attend an official White Water Guide and Swift-water rescue coarse that will equip them with skills to legally guide clients. - We can also arrange a official FEDHASA coarse after you attended our camps that will equip you with skills to legally operate as a tour guide.
